Gary Braasch is an Environmental photographer. He covers natural history and conservation issues for magazines worldwide. In 1999 and 2000 photographs and articles of his appeared in Time, LIFE, Discover, Audubon, National Wildlife, Smithsonian, Natural History, Animals, French Terre Sauvage, Outdoor Photographer, Photo District News and the Swiss Animan magazine.

Braasch exhibited a 30 print show on climate change entitled Polar Thaw at the American Association for the Advancement of Science in Washington DC, and at the Science Museum of Minnesota during the winter and spring of 2001. In his career he has also illustrated major articles for National Geographic, Orion, Popular Photography, and Scientific American magazines.

Currently Braasch is researching and photographing areas of high biodiversity in North and South America, and documenting the effects of climate change worldwide for his upcoming book project Feeling the Heat: Reports from the Global Warming Frontlines of the World.
